Yoga & Seasonal Ayurvedic Cooking – Autumn

Taking care of yourself means taking time for you, reconnecting with yourself!

Rejuvenate yourself at the yoga and Ayurvedic seasonal yoga retreat at Indrani Lodge on September 28th, 29th and 30th: 3 days devoted to yoga and the discovery of nutrition according to the principles of Ayurveda (the traditional Indian “science of life”). Yoga sessions will alternate with presentations on the principles of Ayurveda and practical cooking workshops.

I will have the pleasure to guide you through the morning and late afternoon yoga practices. The morning sessions will allow you to detoxify, wake up your body & oxygenate your mind. While evening practices, Yin Yoga, will have calming, soothing and refreshing effects.
Sarah Pinckers, our Ayurvedic Practicioner, will lead the cooking and nutrition workshops. For a concrete and precise understanding of the mechanisms that form the basis of nutrition an digestion according to Ayurveda, you will learn how to manage your “digestive fire” and ensure fluidity, lightness and balance. During this mini-retreat we will explore the impact of both the physical and the subtle and our relationship to food, to others, to oneself and to nature. We will also examine the connection between the emotions, our sensory perception and the food we eat. 

Paul Brumwell, our Massage Therapist, will offering Thai yoga massage, deep tissue massage and Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage as a compliment to this retreat. Please inform us ahead of time if this is something that would interest you.

At the conclusion of our weekend retreat you will leave equipped with a better understanding of Ayurveda and how to apply this immense body of practical scientific knowledge  and understanding of life to inspire how you live from day to day.

The retreat will be taught in French.
